Today, 22nd October 2026, the BANKSETA honoured an invitation from the Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Ms Nonceba Mhlauli. A youth outreach program held in George, Zone 9 Community Hall, Tembalethu.

This event was aimed at informing the youth in Western Cape about the various SETA programs and opportunities available for them.

Over 200 learners attended the event.

Today, 16th October 2026, the North West Department of Economic Development, Environment, Conservation and Tourism (DEDECT), through the Integrated Economic Development Services (IEDS) Chief Directorate, together with BANKSETA, celebrated and recognised the achievements of learners who participated in the BANKSETA-funded training programme at Alabama Community Hall, Matlosana Local Municipality, North West.

A total of 99 learners graduated, furthermore, the Department has facilitated the next phase of support for the beneficiaries, which includes business incubation and the handover of start-up packages to assist qualifying learners in establishing and growing their businesses.

This intervention aims to ensure that the skills acquired, translate into sustainable enterprise development, job creation and meaningful economic participation.

Class of 2026, we stand behind you...

Today, 10th October 2026, the BANKSETA attended a grade 12 farewell, hosted at the Mamelodi Campus Conference Centre (University of Pretoria).

The 2026 cohort of 71 learners ( 35- funded by BANKSETA), is the third Grade 12 cohort to graduate from UP (Mamelodi) bringing the total number of graduates since 2024 to 211.

This milestone provides an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and aspirations, while recognising the meaningful contribution of stakeholders in supporting and preparing them for the future.

Ms Mary Baloyi presented the opportunities that BANKSETA offers, extending the support of the organisation to learners.

Today, 9th October 2026, the BANKSETA celebrated it's Cultural Workshop. This day, was aimed at showcasing diversity in the workplace, and also, learning what brings us all together.

The BANKSETA team, shared music and dance, food, and celebrated all the cultural groups in the workplace. An exciting day indeed.
