The NNR staff interacts with the public during a nuclear awareness exhibition held at Maga-City Shopping Mall in Mahikeng to share information about its regulatory mandate, and nuclear safety. Audiences include locals young & old, school and university students who show great interest in interactions.

15 May 2026: Day 2 of the NNR STEM Career expo held in Kagiso near Krugersdorp, in attendance there are learners from Mosupatsela high, Madiba high, Thuto-Lefa high, Boipelo high, & Town-view high Schools. Learners interacted with engineers, scientists, pilots, and other professionals from NNR, SACAA, NECSA, Westcol TVET College, and Department or Electricity and Energy.

14 May 2026: NNR hosted a STEM Career Expo at Westcol TVET College to motivate and encourage learners to follow Careers in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics fields. In attendance were high school learners from Randfontein, Westonaria, Bekkersdal, and Mohlakeng. Scientists, Engineers, Pilots, and other professionals from NNR, NECSA, SACAA, Westcol TVET College inspired learners.

28 March 2026: National Nuclear Regulator hosted a Career Expo at Umfolozi TVET College in Esikhawini KZN to inspire learners to follow careers in STEM fields. Over 300 learners from Tholokuhle Secondary, Mevamhlophe Secondary, Phangifa Secondary, and Ziphozonke Secondary schools attended the expo and interacted with scientists and engineers from the NNR, Eskom-Koeberg, Richards Bay Minerals, Tronox and University of Zululand. During the event, the NNR also donated dignity packs to all girl learners in attendance, and many other gifts such as Science branded shirts, maths sets, scientifc calculaters etc.
