3Energy Renewables invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions at the Oya Hybrid Power Plant in the Western Cape:

🔹 Junior Health and Safety Representative (HSE Rep)
Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate and a health and safety course qualification. Previous health and safety experience and a valid driving licence would be advantageous.

🔹 Junior Technician
Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate, an N2/N3 or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or an electrical trade, and a valid driving licence. A basic understanding of electrical systems and maintenance principles is required.

*** TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES | GYDO PASS (R303) ***

Witzenberg Municipality advises motorists that Gydo Pass, on the R303 between Ceres and Op-die-Berg, will be closed during designated working hours from Monday, 9 November to Friday, 13 November 2026, for the re-spraying of road markings.

The following schedule will apply daily:

🔴 08:30–11:30: Pass CLOSED
🟢 11:30–13:00: Pass OPEN
🔴 13:00–16:00: Pass CLOSED

No stop-and-go traffic control will operate during these periods. The pass will be fully closed during the specified closure times.

🚑 Provision will be made to accommodate emergency vehicles when required.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys around the closure times and allow additional travelling time.

We thank road users for their patience and cooperation while Roadmac Surfacing Cape carries out this maintenance.

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana has announced R10bn in temporary fuel levy relief. From 4 November to 1 December, the levy falls by R3 a litre on diesel and R1.50 on petrol. A smaller cut then runs until 5 January: R1.50 off diesel and R1 off petrol.
