Call it maar “Beneficiary of the ANC” — but I’m voting ANC. ✊🏾🖤💛💚 I am voting ANC because I believe in the ANC.

I vote ANC because, in my conscience, I still believe it is the political movement that has the greatest potential to make life better for all our people.

Yes, there are many things within our beloved Movement that must change. There are things we must correct, improve and move away from. We cannot ignore our challenges, and we must continue to hold ourselves accountable.

But with my entire conscience and conviction, I vote ANC. Not because I am perfect, not because the ANC is perfect, but because I believe in the values, the history and the possibility of a better future for all.

Bettie, laat ons by die feite bly.

Jy is nou in jou vyfde jaar as Wyk 4-raadslid. Jy is al vyf jaar in die posisie om iets aan Michausdal se probleme te doen, en tog word daar nou weer ’n foto van ’n verwaarloosde toilet geplaas asof dit vanself bewys dat die ANC daarvoor verantwoordelik is.

As dit wel een van julle comrades of helpers se agterplase is iemand wat jare lank vir julle gewerk of laat ek se iemand wat julle lank gebruik het en selfs julle blou T-hemde gedra het — maak dit die vraag net nog belangriker: wat het julle oor die afgelope vyf jaar gedoen?

Michausdal raak al hoe erger. In plaas daarvan om verantwoordelikheid te vat vir wat binne julle termyn gebeur het, word die ANC elke keer vir alles blameer.

En dan word daar allerhande stories versprei oor wat die ANC-kandidaat glo vir mense belowe. Hy is nog nie eens in die posisie om daardie dinge te lewer nie. Hoekom is julle so bekommerd oor sy sogenaamde beloftes?

Kom ons herinner jou eerder aan jou eie beloftes aan die mense van Cradock.

Jy het ons belowe ons sal ’n Youth Centre kry. Jy het belowe ons sal ’n swembad kry. Jy het gesê jy sal seker maak dat ons dit binne jou vyfjaar-termyn het.

Nou is ons in daardie vyfde jaar.

Waar is dit?

Ja, almal belowe dinge tydens ’n verkiesing. Die verskil is dat die ANC ten minste sê wat ons vir die mense kan doen en verantwoordelikheid neem om dit na te kom.

Ons gunsteling frase bly:

“Ons belowe julle niks, want ons het niks om vir julle nou te gee nie.”

Maar ná vyf jaar behoort die vraag nie te wees wat die ANC belowe nie. Die vraag behoort te wees:

Wat het jy, as Wyk 4-raadslid, oor daardie vyf jaar vir die mense van Michausdal en Cradock gelewer?of blameer jy maar weer die ANC want hulle is in beheer van finansies?LOL😭😭😭😭😭😭

Moenie die mense se aandag probeer wegtrek met nog ’n foto en nog ’n ANC-blameerslag nie. Die inwoners woon hier. Hulle sien self hoe Michausdal agteruitgaan.

Vyf jaar is lank genoeg. Die mense verdien antwoorde.

Good afternoon Councilor Bettie Lawens Thank you for your post.
With respect, I just want to understand. Our Ward is DA since 2011, till today. That's 14 years. If there are still no power boxes in **Hope street **, who was responsible to take the wards problems to the **Municipality **for **14 years **❓

The Municipality may be **ANC **led, but the Ward Councilor is the first contact to fight for the community, to write letters, to go to council meetings, to make noise for 14 years.

We as ANC Candidate are not here to insult anyone. We are here to say : 14 years without boxes is too long. Give us a chance to bring change in Ward 4.
