So, we realise not everyone is a fan of spiders but you've got to admit - this salti is cute! Look at those big eyes and long eyelashes ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ

Salticidae or jumping spiders have some of the best vision among arthropods and use it in courtship, hunting, and navigation!

A few of the pretty-ugly plants we trying to remove at Roseneath Wilds. Alien invasive plants species like these negatively impact our beautiful indigenous species (both flora and fauna) and affect the water and soil quality.

1. Mexican sunflower (Tithonia)
2. Tickberry (Lantana camara)
3. Senna hirsuta
4. Canna (Canna indica)
5. Bugweed (solanum mauritianum)
6. Peanut butter cassia (Senna didymobotrya)

Are there any expert tree and shrub identifiers near Umkomaas wanting to walk around and help identify and tag/remove the indigenous and alien invasives?

We are heading out tomorrow to continue removing invasives and would love some keen consevancy or environmentalists knowledgeable on local vegetation to come with?

Anyone interested in an event this coming Saturday at Roseneath.

Maybe rewalking some paths, pulling out invasives along the way and planting some trees?

Went down to the riverside to plant some poles and signs and hide some cameras in the bush to catch dumpers.

Will be putting some more poles in and need to find a skip that we can load all this crap into and cart away now.... Then we make sure no one dumps again...

What you think? It's a start...
