Superhero runner, Mahesh Ratanjee, is once again running ComradesMarathon for Community Chest Durban and PMB & District Community Chest.

"I run the Comrades Marathon in memory of our late daughter, and this drives me to raise funds to help children under the age of five, living in under-resourced communities, to see a more promising future," explains Mahesh.

For the past two years Mahesh has been the highest Race4Charity fundraiser overall which has made a significant difference in the lives of the 7 845 children we support through Early Childhood Development Centres throughout KZN.

Christelle Mitchell is a foundation phase teacher by profession, a wife, and a proud mom to two beautiful girls. She is running the 2026 ComradesMarathon for Community Chest Durban and PMB & District Community Chest.

"Coming from a poor background where there was no money for school uniforms or school fees, made me take the decision to run for a good cause. I don't want to see any child struggling for anything when it comes to school needs, that's why I chose to fundraise for our young ones through my running. Working with Community Chest will benefit many youngsters in KZN."
