The Importance of Setting Goals
..
About 3 months ago, joined our team with her eyes set on the Ironman World Championships.

As an excellent runner, she has always had to play catch up in her races. We discussed some of her goals and set them on for her to see weekly.

She has worked incredibly hard, and has already made her target goal 23 weeks early. This is the power of setting goals, writing them down to see daily and then working towards them.

Time to raise the bar even higher now

Another fantasic result in Namibia for 3rd at the African Spint Cup by .de.oliveira .
Mikhaela has been with me since inception and I am honoured that she has trusted the program from the first workout. Mikhaela had an extremely tough year plagued with Illness and Injury, but has worked smart and hard to get into good shape. Onwards and Upwards.

Best of Luck to Chad Le Clos as he plans his goals for the next Olympic Cycle.

PRESS RELEASE: CHAD LE CLOS ANNOUNCES NEW HEAD COACH AND TEAM

13th January 2017

Chad le Clos announced today that his new head coach will be Andrea di Nino.
The world renowned Italian coach, famed for his success with butterfly Olympic medallists Milorad Cavic and Evgeny Korotyshkin (who Chad tied for 100m butterfly silver at London 2012), will start working with Chad immediately.
Chad commented “I’m excited to be working with Andrea. His coaching record is second-to-none and I look forward to our journey together. I need to continue to improve to achieve my goals in swimming, and Andrea is the perfect person to coach me in this next stage of my career.”
Andrea said “I am delighted to be coaching Chad and think that together we can achieve great things. He has already had a lot of success, but I see his talent, drive and ambition to do more, and I cannot wait to get started.”
Chad also announced today that Robert Hurley has been appointed as his Performance Manager, reporting to Andrea. A decorated swimmer and former world record holder himself, Australian Bobby will also run the elite / development squads of the new CLC Swimming Academy in Cape Town.
Chad said “Bobby is a phenomenal athlete in his own right and I’m so pleased that he has chosen to join my team alongside Andrea. Bobby’s drive and work ethic matches my own, so I’m sure our team will produce the results we’re looking for.”
Bobby commented “I can’t wait to start working with Chad and the other talented swimmers who will be based in Cape Town. As I take a break from training to recover from injuries, I look forward to learning more about the sport from a great mind like Andrea, and sharing my knowledge and experience with Chad, and the next generation of swimmers in South Africa.”
As announced in November, the new CLC elite training academy and development squad will be based in Cape Town at Hoërskool Jan van Riebeeck.
