SAINT GILES NPC is hiring.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Office and Compliance Co-ordinator to join our team in Durban (Prince Street).
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in administration, compliance coordination and governance support, while also being passionate about meaningful work within the non-profit sector.
About Saint Giles
Saint Giles is a purpose-driven non-profit organisation creating meaningful work and services for persons with disabilities across Durban and Pinetown.
Key responsibilities include:
• Compliance and statutory administration
• CIPC and DSD reporting coordination
• Board and committee meeting support
• Maintaining compliance calendars and records
• Office administration and MD support
• Contracts and audit coordination
• Procurement and supplier administration
Minimum requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Compliance Management, Risk Management or related field
• 3–4 years’ administrative experience with exposure to compliance or regulatory processes
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Valid South African driver’s licence
Advantageous:
• NPO/NPC/NGO experience
• Familiarity with CIPC annual returns and DSD reporting
• Board secretarial support experience
• Knowledge of the NPO Act and Companies Act

Vacancy: Production Manager

Employment Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and expand Saint
Giles’ packing operations (dry foods/goods and pharmaceutical). In this hands-on
leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day production delivery, ensure customer
requirements are met for quality, safety and service and drive continuous
improvement and growth.

What You Will Be Doing
• Plan, schedule and oversee production in line with customer orders, capacity and
workforce availability.
• Set and monitor productivity and efficiency targets; ensure effective allocation of
employees and equipment.
• Optimise workshop layout and workflow to improve throughput, quality and cost
efficiency.
• Develop and manage the Production Department budget; provide
monthly/quarterly/annual performance reporting and statistical data.
• Ensure all customer objectives are consistently met (service, quality and
administrative requirements).
• Drive the expansion and development of new work opportunities, including
supporting customer engagement and pricing input where required.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards, including
HACCP requirements.
• Chair the SHEQ Committee and attend the Worker Committee in line with legal
compliance, ensuring corrective actions and labour matters are addressed.
• Oversee quality control and health & safety systems in collaboration with the QA
& Document Controller and SHE Officer.
• Create and implement a maintenance plan schedule for production equipment
and property at Head Office.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and production teams, conduct appraisals
and implement training/development plans.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects and innovation
in processes, packaging and workforce utilisation.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business
Administration or equivalent.
• 5–8 years’ production management experience (preferably food packing/FMCG),
with 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience managing large teams in a structured, compliance-driven
environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO22000), occupational
health and safety and labour legislation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/accounting systems; strong report writing and
data analysis capability.
