A special clean-up operation took place in Ward 28, in the inner city.
The operation saw several service delivery challenges addressed, including street sweeping, w**d removal, potholes patching, street lights fixing, sand removal from stormwater drains and grass cutting, as well as by-law enforcement. The operation included Supply Side and Area Based Operations, Recreations and Parks, Waste Management, Vector Control, EThekwini Transport Authority, Roads and Stormwater, Ethekwini Waste Water, Metro Police and ENSURE.

EThekwini is calling on the public with solar installations to register to participate in the Smart Solar pilot project.

The Waste Management Directorate continues to implement night cleaning operations as part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to support these efforts by practising responsible waste management. This includes using the street litter bins provided throughout the city, disposing of waste correctly, and refraining from illegal dumping and littering.
