We are with you

Sinani is an IsiZulu word which means “ We are with you.” A registered Non Profit Organisation, Sinani was established in 1994 under the name KwaZulu Natal Programme for Survivors of Violence. As our registered name suggests, working with victims and perpetrators of violence has been the core focus of Sinani’s work since inception. More recently, our work has developed into an integrated, systemic approach which believes in personal development as precursor to community development. Using a strong, group-based facilitation process, we have strengthened people’s and communities’ abilities to handle conflict peacefully, mitigate the negative outcomes of HIV, develop leadership, nurture and protect children, give hope and purpose to young people and strengthened community based responses to structural barriers to developement.
