n on 17 August 2014 and was named after Edgar ‘Skyzer’ Makhanya who was born and raised in the area, and was popular amongst the locals. His son opened the restaurant in keeping with the legacy that is Skyzer and all that it signifies; style, class, taste and ubuntu. This is a place where individuals who are modernised, yet still love township life and culture, can come together and socialise over a great meal and drinks in a safe and fun environment. We will bring entertainment back into the township as was done in its heyday when the likes of Sipho Gumede, Hugh Masekela and Stimela were banned and only performed in the townships. We have a five star-quality chef on board to ensure our food delivers on taste, and our entertainment from live bands to top-class DJ’s will create the perfect setting for your ultimate township experience.
