[IN PICTURES]: Volunteers of the ANC in Hambanathi Township, Ward 62, eThekwini Region, have expressed confidence in the ANC’s ability to address the challenges facing their communities, pledging their support for the party ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.

ANC Head of Elections and Chief Whip Cde Mdumiseni, together with ANC Youth League KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson Cde Ntokozo Ngcobo, led a door-to-door campaign engaging residents on service delivery, the protection of democratic gains, and the importance of local government in improving people’s lives.

The campaign reaffirmed the ANC’s commitment to engaging directly with communities, listening to their concerns, and mobilising support for the party to continue leading eThekwini Municipality and advancing service delivery.

CAMPAIGN TRAIL: Residents have hailed the African National Congress and vowed to ensure that Umzumbe Local Municipality remains in the hands of the organisation.

The ANC 2nd Deputy Chair, Cde Siboniso Duma, together with the Tolomane Mnyayiza regional leadership and volunteers of the movement, has been warmly welcomed by ordinary members of society in Ward 5 and Ward 19.

When engaged during door-to-door and at the community meeting, residents—the young and older—have offered to vote for the ANC on the 4th November 2026. 

They have placed their trust and faith in the ANC candidate as we head toward the local government elections.

As the ANC we commit to live up to the reputation the organisation has carefully built over a century. We remain the only caring and compassionate movement deeply concerned about ensuring a better life for local communities.
 
Working with communities, we have selected candidates who will work very hard as councillors and fulfill the aspirations of residents that would have elected them on the 4th November 2026

[CAMPAIGN TRAIL]

ANC KZN Deputy Provincial Coordinator Cde Siphile Mdaka will lead the campaign trail in the Mzala Nxumalo Region, Vryheid Sub-Region, Ward 05, on Sunday, 18 October 2026.

The programme will commence with a briefing session at 09h00 at Mnyathi VD, next to Vumani Clinic, followed by a door-to-door campaign in the Vumani area at 09h15. At 13h00, Cde Mdaka will conduct a church visit at Kwa-Mhlanga (UAFC), followed by Operation Siyahlola at 14h00 to assess progress on the P274 rehabilitation and engage with residents in the Abalimi EmaQhuzu area.

The ANC remains committed to engaging communities, monitoring service delivery and addressing the needs of residents on the ground.

The programme will begin with a briefing session at 09h00 at King Zwelithini Hall, Ward 10, followed by a door-to-door campaign at Bhekuzulu Old Location at 09h30. A community meeting will take place at 14h00 at Bhekuzulu New Location, Ebhareni Hall, Ward 11.

Through sustained community engagement and mobilisation, the ANC continues to take its message directly to the people.
