My name is Koos Uys (J J Uys), your candidate for Ward 12, Overstrand Municipality in the Local Election on 4 November 2026, for the VF Plus / Freedom Front Plus.

Allow me to introduce myself, as many of you do not know me yet.

I have spent many years working in South African Law and International Investment. I served as a legal advisor to the Town Council of Ermelo and the City Council of Pretoria. I know how a municipality should function - with transparency, honesty, and respect for the law.

My priorities for Ward 12:

• Better basic services: water, electricity, refuse removal, and roads
• Clean and safe neighbourhoods
• Jobs and fair opportunities for local people
• Listening to the community with respect and in the spirit of Ubuntu

South Africa needs leaders who can work together. With my legal and negotiation experience, I believe I can help find workable solutions, even when parties disagree.

I may not look like most voters in Ward 12, but Hermanus is our home together. In the spirit of Ubuntu, I believe we can achieve the best for our beautiful coastal town if we work together.

On 4 November 2026, I humbly ask for your vote.
