CMC - Critical Medical Care Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Ambulance service in Hermanus, Gansbaai, Kleinmond, Bredasdorp and Robertson.

Critical Medical Care is a locally owned Private Ambulance service. Our head office is situated in Hermanus, with operational bases in Hermanus and Gansbaai and Caledon in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. Our Advanced Life Support Ambulance service is rendered to all medical aids, insured, private, WCA/ COID and our individual and corporate clients.

This October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we stand with the women, families and communities whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

Know what is normal for your body. Pay attention to changes. Keep up with recommended screenings. And if something doesn’t feel right, have it checked.

A conversation, a reminder or a simple check could save a life.

Throughout October, you’ll spot a little extra pink on our CMC vehicles as we proudly show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 🎀

This October, our CMC vehicles are carrying more than our teams and equipment. They’re carrying an important reminder. 🎀

You’ll spot pink ribbons on our vehicles throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, showing our support for every person and family affected by breast cancer.

In emergency care, we know that acting early matters. The same is true when it comes to your health. Know your body, pay attention to changes and get anything unusual checked by a healthcare professional.

To those undergoing treatment, to the survivors, to the loved ones offering their support and to those we remember, the pink ribbons are for you.

As we serve our communities this October, we’re proud to carry this message with us.

Happy Heritage Day, South Africa!

For many of us, Heritage Day means family, friends, good food and, of course, a braai. While you’re enjoying the day, a few simple safety checks can help make sure the memories are good ones.

5 Heritage Day safety tips from the CMC team:

➡️ Keep the braai in a safe, open area
➡️ Make sure it’s well away from dry grass, trees, buildings and anything that could catch fire.
➡️ Keep children away from the fire
➡️ Hot coals, braai grids and open flames can cause serious burns in seconds.
➡️ Always keep little ones supervised.
➡️ Have water or a fire extinguisher nearby
➡️ Never leave a braai unattended, and make sure you have something close by to quickly control a flare-up or fire.
➡️ Take care on the roads
➡️ If you’re travelling, buckle up, take your time and never drink and drive. Rather arrange a lift or designated driver.
➡️ Know who to call in an emergency
➡️ Save your local emergency numbers before you need them. Quick action can make a big difference.
