📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: OURNEWS LGE 2026 COVERAGE

OurNews regrets to announce that the planned political debates across Raymond Mhlaba Municipality, together with their supporting programmes, will no longer proceed.

Despite our efforts, we were unable to secure the sponsorship required to produce the debates at the professional standard our communities deserve. Our current cash flow does not allow us to finance a project of this scale independently without compromising our existing responsibilities.

Our commitment to helping residents make informed decisions ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections remains unchanged.

We will therefore offer professionally produced paid interviews to political parties and independent candidates who wish to:

• Introduce themselves to voters
• Explain what they stand for
• Address important community concerns
• Present their plans for Raymond Mhlaba Municipality

OurNews recorded 901,849 Facebook views in the past 28 days, providing candidates with an opportunity to communicate their message to a substantial local and regional audience.

All interviews will be clearly identified as sponsored political content, offered on equal commercial terms and will not constitute an endorsement by OurNews.
