It's so disturbing to hear that former CCC turned Zanu-Pf Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume and Minister Daniel Garwe have jointly deployed 300 Municipal Police to terrorise, evict, and loot the street vendors' stock in Harare C*D, with the operation beginning today.

As Fammu we strongly condemn such a desperate and irrational move by the Zanu PF government, at such a time when our country faces 90% unemployment rate caused by Zanu-Pf decades of corruption looting and incompetence.

We therefore encourage the streets to be vigilant and and protect their stocks against the thieves disguised as Municipality Police officers. FAMMU continues to stand in solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe during this moment.

Who is Daniel Garwe .? Is he the owner of the streets? Zanu-Pf you are busy selling drugs and no one is stopping you . Why not allow less privileged Zimbabweans proceed with what puts food on their tables. Fammu will not allow you to remove vendors without challenge.

Minister of Transport Felix Mhona must resign , Director General of RIDA, Christopher Shumba must equally do the same . Zanu Pf government must compensate the victims .
Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa must address the nation on this issue while we are waiting for a full independent investigation on this matter .
