The ANCWL Young Women’s Desk in the Northern Cape is immensely proud of Comrade Hlengiwe Nkosi on her historic achievement as the first female SRC President at Sol Plaatje University. 💚💛🖤

Although SASCO did not win the campus elections, it has made history by producing the university’s first-ever female SRC President. This achievement is a powerful reminder that young women belong in leadership and must be given the space, support and opportunities to lead with diligence, integrity and purpose.

We celebrate Comrade Hlengiwe’s achievement and hope her leadership inspires more young women to rise, lead and transform their institutions and communities.

When young women lead, we all move forward!

ANC Women’s League Northern Cape Holds PEC Meeting

The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) Northern Cape Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) convened its PEC meeting today in the Frances Baard District.

The meeting focused on key organisational matters, including preparations towards the upcoming elections and strengthening the ANCWL’s response to the scourge of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in our communities.

The meeting further provided an opportunity for the Provincial Leadership to assess the state of the Women’s League in the province and to strengthen organisational unity, mobilisation and readiness as we move towards the elections.

The ANCWL Northern Cape welcomed and appreciated the guidance and support of our deployed NEC member, Comrade Fanta, and NEC member Comrade Dibolelo Mance who joined the PEC meeting and engaged with the leadership on the work and priorities of the organisation.
