We hear it, we know it, but there never seems to be enough time in the day to actually do it. It seems simple, yet we do not prioritize ourselves.
This October, as we observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are reminded that physical wellness is more than exercise and healthy eating—it is also about prevention, early detection, and taking ownership of your health.
💧 Did you know?
Your body is made up of approximately 60% water. Staying hydrated helps regulate body temperature, transport nutrients, flushes out waste through urine, support energy levels, and improve physical performance. Even mild dehydration can leave you feeling tired and less focused.
🏃 Move and keep moving
Regular physical activity strengthens your heart, improves mood, boosts energy, and can help reduce the risk of several chronic illnesses, including certain cancers. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week.
🎗️ Make Time for Check-Ups
Physical care also means paying attention to what is happening inside your body. Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes and survival rates. Men can develop breast cancer too, although it is less common.
This month, we encourage both men and women to:
✔ Schedule routine health screenings
✔ Know your body and pay attention to changes
✔ Discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider
✔ Encourage loved ones to get checked too
Your health is your greatest asset. Drink your water. Move your body. Book your check-up. Early action can save lives.
