Every Friday, we rise, wear our Red EFF Regalia, and return to the people because the struggle for Economic Freedom is waged amongst the people, with the people, and for the people!

Today, various EFF Merafong branches took the revolutionary message to the streets, embarking on mass door-to-door canvassing to mobilise communities and rally voters behind the EFF ahead of the Local Government Elections on the 04th of November 2026.

We are a movement that organises, engages, listens, and mobilises from household to household, street to street, and branch to branch.

The mission is clear: mobilise the masses, build political consciousness, and turn the people's aspirations for economic freedom, quality basic services, decent jobs, and accountable local government into a programme of action.

Merafong must organise. Merafong must mobilise. The ground must be contested!

The countdown to 04 November has begun!** ✊🏿🚩

PARTY AGENTS TRAINING | EFF MERAFONG

Today, the EFF Merafong Sub-Regional Election Task Force (SRETF) conducted a Party Agents Training programme for Ward Candidates and SRETF Members.

The training was led by our Mayoral Candidate, Cmsr Itani Mukwevho, with Mr Quincy Sedisa, former IEC Merafong Project Coordinator, serving as the main speaker.

Participants were taken through the role, responsibilities and expectations of Party Agents, with a focus on the importance of proper conduct, vigilance and adherence to electoral procedures.

Prepared. Organised. Ready for Election Day. ✊🏿🔴

🔴 RED FRIDAY | MERAFONG

The EFF Merafong Branches successfully convened their Red Friday Canvassing Programme across the municipality.

Special voter applications were facilitated and bus lists for the Tshela Thupa Rally were filled as Fighters continue to mobilise communities across Merafong.

The people of Merafong continue to engage with the EFF and express their support ahead of 04 November 2026.

The ground is moving. The people are organising.

On the 02nd of October 2026, EFF Merafong Mayoral Candidate Cmsr Itani Mukwevho and Coordinator of Elections & SRCT Secretary Fighter Nzima Wana will visit branches across Merafong as part of the Canvassing Programme.

📍 Members of the community are invited to join and be assisted with Special Voter application and Buslist for Tshela Thupa Rally.

All branches must ensure that gazebos are in place and volunteers are in attendance, ready for mobilisation and canvassing.

WEDELA CANDLELIGHT VIGIL 🕯️

The EFF Merafong stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Wedela during a solemn Candlelight Vigil to honour the 18 lives lost in the horrific shooting.

Led by our Mayoral Candidate and CCT Member, Commissar Itani Mukwevho, together with the EFF Merafong leadership and Fighters, we gathered to remember the fallen, comfort the bereaved families and reaffirm our solidarity with the Wedela community.

18 lives. 18 families. One community left mourning.

We will continue to stand with the people of Wedela and demand justice for those whose lives were brutally taken.

May their souls rest in peace. 🕯️
