MAYOR MBOWENI EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO THE MAKINTA AND MANGANA FAMILIES

The Mayor of Modimolle-Mookgophong Local Municipality, Cllr Anna Mboweni, visited the bereaved Makinta and Mangana families following the tragic loss of their loved ones in a fire incident two weeks ago.

Accompanied by ChiefWhip Cllr Mokgadi Dayimani and other councillors, Mayor Mboweni extended her heartfelt condolences to both families. The deceased couple lost their lives when the shack in which they were sleeping was engulfed in flames.

Mayor Mboweni apologised for the delay in visiting the families, explaining that the Municipality only became aware of the incident on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. A visit planned for Thursday could not take place due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Mayor assured both families that the Municipality would provide the necessary support during this difficult period.
