🔹 Wednesday Wisdom:

On Monday 12 October 2026 we were busy doing an oversight on roads in an informal settlement behind Extension 10 called Mountain View.

While people have been staying there since 2017, this informal settlement does not have any services. No electricity, no water, no sewerage infrastructure, and no roads.

While walking between the houses we came across a water pit that residents dug.

Water is a basic human right, but for many villages, it is still a daily fight for survival - not from a tap but from a pit.

On 4 November 2026 we have a chance to get our town working for all!

🔹 Electricity Notice:

At 19h40 the electricity will be switched off, this will affect a large part of ward 12.

This is to enable the electrical team to finalize joining the cable that was stolen last night.

The electricity should only be off for approxiamately an hour and a half.
