ANCYL DENISE MORUDU BRANCH WARD 13 WISHES RESIDENTS A HAPPY HERITAGE DAY
For Immediate Release
Date: 24 September 2026
Ward 13, Modimolle-Mookgophong
The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) Denise Morudu Branch Ward 13 extends warm Heritage Day greetings to all residents, families, young people, elders and community members across Ward 13.
Heritage Day is an important occasion for us to celebrate the rich cultural diversity, traditions, languages, history and identity that form part of our communities. It reminds us that our different backgrounds and traditions are an important part of the broader South African identity.
As young people, we have a responsibility to preserve and promote our heritage while ensuring that future generations understand and appreciate the history and values passed down to them. Our heritage must continue to serve as a source of unity, dignity, pride and social cohesion.
The ANCYL Denise Morudu Branch Ward 13 encourages residents to use this day to celebrate their families, cultures, languages, traditions and community values. We further call on young people to actively participate in preserving our heritage and documenting the stories and experiences of our elders for future generations.
We also recognise the contribution of community elders, cultural practitioners, parents, educators, traditional leaders and young people who continue to keep our heritage alive.
As we celebrate Heritage Day, let us continue to build a community founded on unity, respect, solidarity and social cohesion, while embracing the diversity that makes Ward 13 and South Africa unique.
The ANCYL Denise Morudu Branch Ward 13 wishes all residents a Happy Heritage Day.
