A MESSAGE OF SUPPORT TO THE MATRIC CLASS OF 2026
Today, as you take part in your pledging ceremony, you’re taking another important step towards the end of your school journey. It’s a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come and to prepare for the hard work that lies ahead.
To the Matric Class of 2026, you've spent years learning, growing and preparing for this moment. There have been challenges along the way, but you’ve made it this far. Now, the final stretch is here and it’s time to give it everything you’ve got.
As the Mayor of Khâi-Ma Municipality, I want you to know we believe in you and are behind you every step of the way. I know the pressure can be overwhelming at times, but don’t let fear or doubt get in your way. Stay focused, study hard, look after one another and remember why you started this journey.
To our learners in Khâi-Ma and across the Northern Cape, we want to see you succeed. Your success is not only a proud moment for your families, but for our entire community and province.
Let’s aim for that 90%+ pass rate! It won't happen by chance. It takes commitment, discipline and a willingness to keep going, even when things get tough. Every learner matters and every mark counts.
Matrics, when you walk into that exam room, trust the work you've put in over the years. Take a deep breath, do your best and give yourself the chance to achieve what you’ve been working towards.
We’re rooting for you. Finish strong, make the most of this final opportunity and, above all, make Khâi-Ma and the Northern Cape proud!
Good luck, Class of 2026. Your future is in your hands, and we believe you can do it!
Estelle Cloete
