Statement issued by the :ANC Youth League ward 4: On The Passing Of Former Ward Councilor Cde Fundiswa Cobisa Mbane.

The ANC and It's Leagues have since recieved sad and painful new of the Passing of our Comrade, Cde F. Mbane. A former ward councilor of our great Walmer Township.
The ANC Youth League Wishes its deepest Condelences to The entire Mbane Family.
Comerades Mbane passing leaves behind great sadness amongst family, friends and comrades. However her passing reminds us of her great passion for community development and advacy.
Cde Mbane's political background has shown how women of color can rise above society norms and lead with Courage and Excellence. May more women follow in her footsteps and rise above all for women empowerment.
Rest Comrade Fundiswa Cobisa Mbane, now your fight remains spiritual, Hamba Kahle Mbhokotho Yelizwe.

To The family and Community
The ANC Youth League wishes to send its Condelences to the Skweyiya Family and friends of the sad passing of their Son and brother firmly known as by friends and community.

The Youth League is concerned by the high rise in violence and death of young people inside and outside of Walmer Township.
We will in the coming weeks and month sit with relevant officials in discussing better impactful methods to stop the rise of crime in the community and we will force drastic measure to the stakeholders responsible for the safety of our youth and people in our community.

We encourage members of community based organizations, Office of the Councilor,SAPS Crime forums and civil society groups to join forces in the fight against crime.

Our streets are not meant for blood. Our streets must be Safe.

We have been informed by the family that the Funeral of Siphosethu Sikweyiya will be next week Monday 27th June 2022.

The ANC Youth League in ward 4 took time to celebrate the legacy of June 16 Day educating the next generation of our community.
Speaking at the event was our special guest. The Young Established Artist Lwando Lunika, who spoke so well about his background growing in walmer and his first days drawing and to his current success, inspiring the young on choices and ambitions.

A fun day and mostly an informative session celebrating our Youth of 16June 1976.

To Our Fellow Youth stakeholders of the Community of Walmer Township

Today we revisit a special day in our history. The day that transformed the image of Youth Activism in this country.
Today we remember the Youth of June 16, 1976, a memory that will last for generations to come.
16 June 1976 played a big part in our historical fight against Apartheid Government and it shaped the advancement of the Education System in our country South Afrika.

Today as we look back in history and celebrate the secrifice of the Youth of 1976, we are also reminded that the fight against political appresion that young people face in this country is still a fight worth our energy and dedication. The role of youth today will determines our towmoorw just like it 1976.
It is then very important that we realize we still fighting for Free Education, Economic opportunities and Social Injustice for young people in this country.

*The country's current economic state is evidence that this country is lacking youthfull ideas and better implementation strategies.
*The Youth unemployment rate in this Country shows how less young people are valued.
*The low number of Academic and Skills Training Institutions is the results few graduates and jobless professionals.
*Poor education standards, & infrastructure of early childhood institution is the results of backward development in the early childhood education phase.
*Exclusion of Youth in Economic Opportunities is the results high Unemployment rate.

We need to implement the strategy of Youth of 1976 and that is 'Uniting On Common Goals'
Youth need to unite in fighting the real enemy in our struggle for a better life.
Let us be solutions to our problems.
