The Department of Applied Language Studies forms part of the School of Language, Media and Culture within the Faculty of Arts at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. The Department of Applied Language Studies at Nelson Mandela University services most of the faculties with language and communication studies, teaching more than 5000 students on an annual basis. Short courses are available in various soft skills and additional languages such as isiXhosa and Arabic.
