🚨 Road Closure due to flooding 🚨

The following areas are currently affected by flooding and should be avoided:

📍 Corner of Roswell Gradwell and North Street, Mosel, Kariega
➡️ Use Caledon Street, Market Street, or surrounding local roads where safe to do so.

📍 Graaff-Reinet Road and Channer, Kariega
➡️ Motorists are advised to use Durban Street, Cannon Street, or other alternative routes into and out of the affected area.

📍 Third Avenue Dip, Newton Park
➡️ Use Cape Road, Fifth Avenue, or William Moffett Expressway as alternative routes where possible.

⚠️The De Mist Canal is nearing capacity, with water flowing strongly. The Jubilee Canal remains stable but continues to be monitored.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution, avoid flooded roads, and never attempt to drive or walk through flowing water.

WATER DISRUPTION - EMERALD ZONE AND CHELSEA ZONE

We experienced a power outage at Elandsjagt water treatment works, and unfortunately, power has not yet been restored. Eskom has been notified and is currently attending to the issue.

​Due to the prolonged outage, supply throughout the system has steadily decreased over the course of the day, and we are now beginning to see the effects on our reservoir levels.
