💛 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 — 𝗪𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗚𝗕𝗩 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻

One in three children in Southern Africa experiences violent discipline at home.
Too many grow up witnessing abuse, living in fear, and carrying trauma that lasts long into adulthood.
Children who witness intimate partner violence are far more likely to experience abuse themselves — unless we intervene.

Every child deserves safety, protection, and a chance to grow without fear.
This begins with strong child protection systems, trusted reporting pathways, and communities willing to speak up when something feels wrong.

💛 When we strengthen child protection services, we break the cycle of violence.
We create safer homes, stronger families, and resilient communities for generations to come.

Protecting children is not optional — it is urgent, essential, and life-saving.

Support your local child protection services.
Their work is key to stopping GBV at its roots.

Today, we honour the women who nurture with strength, guide with wisdom, and love with boundless compassion.

At the SAVF, we celebrate every mother – biological, adoptive, foster, and maternal figures – whose care forms the backbone of families and communities. Your quiet sacrifices, tireless devotion, and unwavering presence bring security, hope, and comfort to those around you.

We also acknowledge the incredible mothers within our SAVF homes, centres, and support programmes – women who inspire resilience and model unconditional love, even in the most difficult circumstances.

On this special day, we thank you. You are seen, appreciated, and deeply valued.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at SAVF.
Your love leaves a lasting legacy.

Day of Reconciliation: Building Bridges Together 🌟

At SAVF, we believe in the power of connection, compassion, and understanding. Today, on the Day of Reconciliation, we are reminded of the importance of healing wounds, celebrating diversity, and striving towards unity.

Reconciliation starts with us—by listening, by showing kindness, and by working together to create a South Africa where every person feels valued and supported.

Let’s honour this day by reaching out, embracing forgiveness, and building bridges that strengthen our communities. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
