MMC for Roads and Transport — Cllr Tlangi Mogale, joined the City of Tshwane and transport stakeholders in commemorating White Cane Day 2026.

Safe to move. Safe to arrive is a call to action to build safer, more accessible and inclusive roads, public transport spaces and intermodal facilities.

Every resident, including persons with disabilities, deserves to travel safely, independently and with dignity.

For Cllr Tlangi Mogale, MMC for Roads and Transport, accessible transport is about more than getting onto a bus. It means being able to navigate stations, platforms, pedestrian routes and interchanges safely.

This White Cane Day, the City of Tshwane reaffirms the importance of transport systems that protect dignity, support independence and leave no commuter behind.
