All stakeholders are required to ensure that learner information is captured, linked to the relevant programme and all supporting documents are uploaded on the PSETA LMS on or before 31 May 2026. This deadline will allow sufficient time for verification before the expiry date.

PSETA is proud to have supported the Minister of Higher Education and Training in his Budget Vote through being present at the PSET on Wheels Career Expo at the Grand Parade in Cape Town, where SETAs, stakeholders, learners, unemployed youth, industry leaders came together to engage on the future of education, skills, and employment.

The message from the Honourable Minister was clear: the right to learn is not up for debate.

As South Africa continues to face challenges including skills shortages, graduate unemployment, and barriers to transitioning from learning to work, the call is for a post-school education and training system that is responsive, inclusive, and outcomes-driven.

This Budget Vote reaffirmed the importance of strengthening partnerships between government, industry, training providers, and stakeholders to ensure that education and skills development are aligned with the needs of the economy and the aspirations of learners.

Young people are not merely beneficiaries of the system, they are the reason for it.

As PSETA, we remain committed to contributing towards a skills revolution that expands opportunities, strengthens governance, and ensures that learning leads to meaningful participation in the economy.
