OUT joined the recent Pretoria Pride celebrations in Centurion, celebrating LGBTIQ+ equality, visibility and community!

Our stall at the Rugby Club welcomed visitors from across the LGBTIQ+ community, with the OUT team sharing information about hate crimes, harm reduction support and health services in Pretoria, including our innovative Plus Dr Pretoria LGBTQ+ medical practice.

It was a vibrant day of connection, celebration and community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make it memorable! 🏳️‍🌈

⚠️ Mpox cases are on the rise in South Africa, particularly in the Western Cape and Gauteng.

Mpox can affect anyone, so knowing how it spreads and what symptoms to look out for can help you protect yourself and others.

Mpox spreads mainly through close physical contact, including skin-to-skin contact, kissing, close dancing and s*xual contact. It can also spread through shared items such as bedding, towels and s*x toys.

OUT LGBT Well-Being is proud to be part of the Vusubuntu Coalition,a growing collective working towards the decriminalisation of drugs for personal use in South Africa.

For us, this work is deeply connected to human rights, dignity, inclusion and access to care. Criminalisation often affects marginalised communities in unequal ways, including people who already face stigma, discrimination and barriers to health and social services.

By joining the VUSUBUNTU Coalition, we are adding our voice to a broader call for drug policy responses that are more compassionate, evidence informed and community centred. We believe that people who use drugs should not be pushed further into fear or isolation, but should be able to access support, health care and services without stigma.
