The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) provides informal traders with tools and equipment through the Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP).

A total of 119 entrepreneurs from Dihlabeng Local Municipality received business tools and equipment through the Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP), reaffirming government's commitment to supporting informal and micro enterprises.

The handover included a range of equipment tailored to the needs of beneficiaries, with items such as laptops, gas stoves, chest freezers, electric fryers, salon equipment, office chairs and printers among the resources provided to help entrepreneurs strengthen and grow their businesses.

Entrepreneurs gathered at Bethlehem Town Hall today to receive business tools and equipment through the Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP), an initiative aimed at strengthening informal and micro enterprises.

Addressing beneficiaries, MEC for Economic Development, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Mr Ketso Makume, emphasised the importance of business compliance, saying: "For government to help you, for government to assist you, you need to be compliant."

He encouraged entrepreneurs to formalise their businesses by registering with the relevant authorities, enabling them to access government support and opportunities that can help their enterprises grow.

The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), together with SEDFA, is in Dihlabeng Local Municipality, Free State, where entrepreneurs are being supported through the Informal Micro Enterprise Development Programme (IMEDP).
