🇩🇪🤝🇿🇦 One week later, and we’re still looking back on a wonderful celebration! ✨

Last Tuesday, we gathered in Pretoria to mark German Unity Day, bringing together friends and partners to celebrate the friendship between 🇩🇪 and 🇿🇦 .

From the remarks by 🇩🇪 Ambassador Oliver Rentschler and 🇿🇦 Minister of Employment and Labour Nomakhosazana M**h to the conversations, music and shared moments, the occasion was a reminder of the strong connections between our two countries. 🤝🎶

🎥 Take another look at some of the highlights from the event! ✨

Thank you once again to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable occasion! 🥂❤️

Ambassador Rentschler is looking for the PSL team to visit first:

📣Win a football jersey of my team VfB Stuttgart 1893!

Calling on all supporters to advice which team to watch live for my first match.
Mamelodi Sundowns FC? Kaizer Chiefs? ? A different team?

🌍🤝 Since the introduction of the South-North component in 2013, the weltwärts volunteering programme has become a truly two-way street! 🇩🇪↔️🌍

Whereas previously only young people from 🇩🇪 travelled to the Global South, since then approximately 800 young adults from partner countries in the Global South have been able to perform volunteer service in 🇩🇪 each year. 🙌🌱

This year, more than 50 volunteers from 🇿🇦 are contributing to various projects across 🇩🇪, gaining valuable experiences, sharing knowledge and building connections. 🤝💚✨

🇩🇪🤝🇿🇦 Our German Unity Day celebration in Pretoria! ✨

On Tuesday, we came together with friends, partners and colleagues to celebrate the German Unity Day, a day that marks Germany’s reunification and reminds us of the importance of unity, freedom and democracy. ❤️

🇩🇪 Ambassador Oliver Rentschler and 🇿🇦’s Minister of Employment and Labour, Nomakhosazana M**h, addressed guests, highlighting the strong ties between our countries and the importance of continued cooperation and partnership. 🤝🌍

Our gathering also offered an opportunity to reflect on the Day of Germans Abroad, marked on 6 October, which recognises Germans and people of German descent around the world and their contributions to the societies they call home. 🌍🇩🇪

It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate the many connections that bring 🇩🇪 and 🇿🇦 together, and, of course, to enjoy good company, music and meaningful conversations. 🎶🥂✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special!

📸 Here are a few impressions from the celebration.
