Civilian Secretariat for Police Service

The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service (CSPS) in partnership with the Limpopo Provincial Secretariat and the South African Police Service (SAPS) is currently at the Bela Bela Multi-Purpose Centre to provide feedback to all complainants whose cases have been pending without updates.

This feedback session is part of the successful Joint Case Closed Campaign, which delivered excellent results in Hammanskraal on 25 November 2025 across Gauteng, Limpopo, and North West provinces.
If you have an outstanding case and have not received any feedback, this is your opportunity to get the updates you deserve.

[HAPPENING NOW] Great day at Cyril Clarke Secondary School in Matafeni!

The CSPS Director General, Mr. ST Sibuyi, and his management team, including Deputy Director General Mr. Ramaru, visited the school today. DG Sibuyi was joined by Ms. Mazibuko (HoD: Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security & Liaison) and Major General Sekgobela (on behalf of SAPS Mpumalanga Acting Provincial Commissioner).

Together with the school management and SGB, they highlighted key safety measures and explored possible interventions to ensure a secure learning environment for our learners.

The Secretary for Police Service, donated a laptop and a printer to the school.

[HAPPENING NOW] Oversight Visit to Abandoned Pungutsha Satellite Police Station.
The Director General of the Civilian Secretariat for Police Service, Mr ST Sibuyi, together with his management team, conducted an important oversight visit to the abandoned Satellite Pungutsha Police Station in Katjibana.

The delegation was joined by:

Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS),
The Provincial Civilian Secretariat for Police in Mpumalanga,
Community Police Forum (CPF) representatives, and
Pungutsha Tribal Authority leaders.

This collaborative visit underscores our collective commitment to restoring policing visibility and improving safety in the Katjibana and surrounding communities. The engagement with traditional leaders and community stakeholders is a vital step towards finding sustainable solutions for the police station.
We believe that working together —As government and the community — we can bring back effective policing services to this area.

[Happening Now] The Intergovernmental Sports Day is in full swing at the Kgosi Mampuru 2 Correctional Area Sports Ground!
Hosted by CSPS, teams from Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and IPID are battling it out on the fields in exciting Netball and Soccer matches.
The Wellness Programme kicked off strongly with a refreshing 5km Walk, followed by energising Aerobics sessions. Attendees are also taking advantage of the Health Screening services available on site.
