At the GGDA Embassy Connect Engagement 2026, we spoke with Sihle Dube, organiser of the Embassy Business Fair and Conference about expanding opportunities for SMMEs, investors, and African businesses.

The initiative focuses on creating distribution markets for locally manufactured products produced by SMMEs while connecting businesses with international investors and diplomatic partners.

Dube highlighted the upcoming Gauteng Investment Conference on 9 April 2026 which aims to attract global investors to Gauteng’s key economic sectors, including infrastructure, mining, and energy.

The platform also encourages African businesses and investors to participate by exploring bankable projects and pledging through the investment platform, helping drive intra-African trade and continental economic integration.
