Strengthens Collaboration | Ms Layla Jeevanantham- Chief of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) for Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), Johannesburg and Mr Ockert Jansen, the Director of Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability for CCBA-Namibia, has paid a courtesy call on Namibia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, H.E. Nangula F. Ithete on 18 February 2026.
The purpose of the meeting was to build relationship, strengthens collaboration and exchange views on matters of mutual interest. A fruitful meeting deliberated on the areas of collaboration with Namibia and Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, identified opportunities and charted the future engagements.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by Ms. Aino Humphrey, Counsellor and Ms. Theresa Sipiho, Investment, Export Promotion Attache.

*Discover Namibia Country Showcase at Mining Indaba 2026*
Namibia will present its official Country Showcase at the 2026 Investing in African Mining Indaba, focusing on the country's mining investment landscape, regulatory framework and downstream value addition strategy.
The session will be led by Honourable Gaudentia Kröhne, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, supported by senior officials from the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy, the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) and the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR – Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe).

*Namibia to Host Mining Project Investment Pitching Session in Partnership with Rand Merchant Bank*
Namibia will host a Mining Project Investment Pitching Session on the sidelines of the 2026 Investing in African Mining Indaba in Cape Town, in partnership with Rand Merchant Bank.
This high-level engagement will feature a selection of vetted Namibian mining projects, offering potential investors, financiers and strategic partners direct access to investment-ready opportunities in critical and strategic minerals including lithium, copper, rare earth elements, uranium and graphite.

On 23 October 2025, Her Excellency Amb. Nangula Frieda Ithete Namibia High Commissioner Designate to South Africa has arrived in South Africa and commenced her tour of duty.
The High Commissioner designate was received amongst other by Amb. Anthony Miyeni, Director for Southern Africa in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
High Commissioner Ithete is awaiting to present a Letter of Credence, to His Excellency, Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, in order to officially be accredited ad High Commissioner to South Africa.
