IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:

A. Yellow Level 2 Warning: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail and lightning
resulting in localised flooding and damage to infrastructure and settlements are expected over most parts of
KwaZulu-Natal except in the extreme north-east, as well as the extreme northern parts of Eastern Cape.
B. Yellow Level 1 Warning: Damaging winds resulting in localised damage to settlements, localised loss of agricultural production and some transport routes and travel services affected by wind, falling trees or dust storms are expected over the western parts of the Free State and the extreme eastern parts of the Northern Cape.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the North-West, central and eastern Northern Cape,
most parts of both Free State and Limpopo as well as in places in both western KwaZulu-Natal and western
parts of the Northern Cape.

2. MPUMALANGA:

Partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers over the eastern and southern Highveld.
It will be hot to very hot in the Lowveld.
3. LIMPOPO:

Fine and hot to very hot.
4. NORTH-WEST:

Partly cloudy, windy and hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.
5. FREE STATE:
--------------
Partly cloudy, windy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the extreme
east and along the Lesotho Border.
6. NORTHERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy, windy and hot but warm in the extreme south, with isolated afternoon showers and
thundershowers in the east.
The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly.
7. WESTERN CAPE:
----------------
Cloudy with isolates showers and rain in the south and adjacent eastern interior where it will be cool and
warm, otherwise fine and warm, but partly cloudy along the west.
The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly along the west and south-western parts, otherwise
moderate south-easterly.
The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High
8. WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy and warm in the north, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain along the coast
and adjacent interior. Isolated thunderstorms are expected over interior and in the north where it will become
partly cloudy from late morning.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly.
9. EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE:

Partly cloudy in the north, otherwise cloudy and cool, but cold in places with scattered showers and
thunderstorms.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly, becoming fresh in the afternoon.
10. KWAZULU-NATAL:
------------------
Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm but hot in places in the north
with scattered showers and thundershowers.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly north of Cape Vidal, otherwise
light to moderate southerly to south-westerly, but light south-easterly in the afternoon.
