The Importance of First Aid Kits in a Children's Home!

First aid kits play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in our care. As a children's home, we have a responsibility to provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child is protected and receives appropriate care when needed.

Accidents and unexpected medical situations can happen at any time. A fully stocked first aid kit enables our staff to respond promptly to minor injuries, cuts, scrapes, burns and other emergencies, helping to prevent complications and provide immediate comfort to a child in distress.

Having accessible, well-maintained first aid kits throughout the home also ensures that our caregivers are better prepared to act responsibly and confidently in an emergency.

By ensuring that our children's home has adequately stocked first aid kits, we are investing in the health, safety and protection of every child entrusted to our care. It is a simple but essential measure that can make a meaningful difference when a child needs help.

🌟 OUTREACH THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! 🌟

On 18 September 2026, Child Welfare Tshwane joined the City of Tshwane Health & Social Outreach Campaign at Westford Informal Settlement, bringing essential services and information closer to the community. 💙

Through face-to-face engagement, door-to-door visits and the distribution of information pamphlets, community members were empowered with knowledge on where and how to access support and report social challenges.

The impact is already being felt! 🙌 On 28 September 2026, a community member visited the Child Welfare Tshwane office after finding our contact details on a pamphlet received during the outreach. An intake was successfully completed and a case file opened for further intervention.

When information reaches people, help becomes accessible. When communities are empowered, lives can change. 💙

WE absolutely love matric season! This year we just have boys and I wondered, how will we treat them (girls are just easier😉).
Then Gary Rom Hair Brooklyn blessed our two matric boys with some treatment and TLC!

It was an experience for them as this is their first time in an upscale men's hairdressing salon. We are so grateful for your support!

Congratulations to Courtney House International School for an amazing production of 'Whispers of Wonderland'. Thank you for inviting our teenage girls to the show and giving them the opportunity to experience a theatre production. It was truly a showcase of the talented children in your school.
