The Office of the Executive Mayor is strengthening partnerships aimed at building capacity and advancing skills development within Rand West City Local Municipality.

Executive Mayor Cllr William Matsheke recently led an engagement with Regenesys Corporate Education to explore educational opportunities for Councillors and municipal employees. The discussions focused on providing access to accredited qualifications and professional development programmes within the public service sector, with the objective of enhancing governance, leadership, and service delivery capabilities in the Municipality.

The partnership seeks to empower both Councillors and staff members through continuous learning and skills development, ensuring that the municipality is equipped with knowledgeable and capable leaders and officials who can effectively respond to the needs of communities.

“Empowered staff and councillors contribute immensely to the acceleration of service delivery through the effective implementation of public service projects and policy development,” said Executive Mayor Cllr William Matsheke.

The initiative forms part of the municipality’s ongoing commitment to investing in human capital development and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and responsive governance for the benefit of all residents.
