The plan was aimed at forcing Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a very important sea route for global oil. In simple terms, it’s like a group of countries including the United States, Isreal and the rest wanted to take strong action, but some powerful members like France, Russia and China said “no, let’s not f!ght.” This has raised questions about whether long-time allies are still on the same side, especially as France is usually close to Western nations.
