Quite simply put....

I have been pondering for an hour or two about what I could say about our Finchlea Cottage..
But actually, this is all it needs...its a cottage that speaks for itself!

Described by one of our recent guests as "beautiful, cosy and
charming", this characterful-filled thatched roof hideaway is perfect
for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
The cottage features one comfortable bedroom, a well equipped kitchen . The cosy lounge is a warm, texturally rich sanctuary...a welcoming log burner...
Step outside into a country garden to find your morning coffee spot or your reading chair in the sun.
Situated in the heart of Stanford Village, just a short stroll away from local cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, jazz evenings and the scenic Klein River.
Hiking, birdwatching and kayaking are just some of the activities to enjoy, for those who love the outdoors.

So, take out your diary and spoil your partner with a surprise weekend away!

I'll confess, holidays are my weakness!

I love everything about them...EVEN the bit before you've even gone.

Finding the perfect cottage, imagining yourself there, lunching at the restaurants nearby and that little buzz when you finally press book and know you have something lovely waiting for you.

And then, of course, you get to live it.
A few nights somewhere relaxing, time with people you love, a view you'll talk about long after you've returned.

I never forget a good holiday...
Years later, I can still remember where we ate, what we laughed about, the view from the window and how I felt when I was there.
So yes, you can keep an upmarket hotel with impersonal rooms.
Give me a cottage every time!
