bobi wine said, The world needs to know what is happening in Uganda on election day. Internet switched off. Massive ballot stuffing reported everywhere. Our leaders, including Deputy President for Western Region, arrested. Many of our polling agents and supervisors abducted, and others chased off polling stations. BVVK machines have failed everywhere. The PEOPLE OF UGANDA MUST RISE TO THE OCCASION AND REJECT THE CRIMINAL REGIME. THE WORLD MUST NEVER GIVE ANY LEGITIMACY TO THE REGIME OF BLOOD AND SHAME.

When a case is adjourned indefinitely, it means the judge has stopped the case for now, but no date is given for when it will continue.

It’s like saying: “We will not hear this case today, and we don’t know when we will bring it back.”

The case is not closed forever, it’s just on pause with no set time to resume.

A judge may do this when something important is missing or needs to happen before the case can continue, but no one knows when that will be ready.🤦🏾‍♂️

Some common reasons are:
•Waiting for evidence that isn’t ready yet.
•One of the people (like a lawyer, witness, or even the accused) is sick or cannot attend.
•Another court decision is needed first before this case can move forward.
•The people involved are trying to settle the case outside court (for example, through negotiations).

So instead of setting a new date right away, the judge says: “We’ll stop here until further notice.”

Think of it like pausing a movie, but you don’t know when you’ll press play again.

President Hakainde Hichilema says the country has made significant progress in strengthening public institutions to address historic inequalities and promote inclusivity.

And Mr Hichilema has noted that his administration is determined to create a culture of honesty, fairness and accountability in public institutions.

The Head of State said this in a speech delivered on his behalf by Minister of Information and Media Cornelius Mweetwa during the official closing of the 2025 Africa Public Service Day commemoration.

This year’s Africa Public Service Day was observed under the theme “Enhancing the Agility and Resilience of Public Institutions to Achieve Equitable Governance and Rapidly Address Historical Service Delivery Gaps”.

Mr Hichilema said the theme underscores the need to strengthen public institutions to enhance their efficiency, effectiveness and resilience in service delivery.

In our continued efforts to tackle the energy deficit, exacerbated by the El Niño-induced drought, we convened a meeting this afternoon at State House to assess the progress of projects aimed at mitigating energy insecurity, which has also impacted food security in our nation.

We understand the severe challenges that power shortages have imposed on small businesses, entrepreneurs, and households. While the situation is unfortunate, it also offers an opportunity to flip the coin, by exploring alternative energy solutions beyond traditional hydro methods, paving the way for a more sustainable power generation future. We will leave no stone unturned to achieve this.

Hakainde Hichilema,
President of the Republic of Zambia.
