Maina Soko Medical Centre congratulates Capt Mubanga CHANDA, Nurse Specialist in Critical Care; Lt Happy NG’OMBE, Physiotherapist and Adjutant; and Lt Ackim BANDA, Physiotherapist, all serving members of the Zambia Air Force, on the successful completion of the inaugural four-month Rapid Response and Advanced Tactics Force Course at the Parachute and Special Tactics Training School.

This pioneering programme, the first of its kind within the Air Force, represents a major milestone in strengthening internal capacity and advancing operational medical readiness within the Defence Force. It is an in-service professional development course undertaken strictly for the enhancement of military medical capability and should not be misconstrued as a public recruitment exercise.

The rigorous training equipped the trio with advanced competencies in rapid response operations, tactical combat casualty care, and coordinated emergency medical interventions. These enhanced skills will significantly improve ICU critical care response, strengthen physiotherapy-led rehabilitation and sports injury management, and elevate the institution’s capacity to respond decisively and effectively in complex, high-pressure clinical and operational environments.

In a separate development, Maina Soko Medical Centre also congratulates Maina Soko Queens Football Club Assistant Coaches, WOII NKHATA Jabulani and Ms Hellen CHIGULE on successfully completing the Football Association of Zambia E-Coaching Course, an intensive one-week programme sponsored by Maina Soko Medical Centre Management and attended by 67 participants.

The course enhanced modern football coaching competencies through structured modules covering the objectives of the Football Association of Zambia E-License, laws of the game...

Arakan Boys Secures K75,000 Sanitation Boost for Exemplary Hygiene

By Buffalo Reporter

Lusaka

Arakan Boys Secondary School has received a substantial consignment of sanitation and walkway construction materials valued at Seventy-Five Thousand Kwacha from Gatbro International Limited.

This is in recognition of the Army Aided school’s outstanding hygiene standards.

The materials have been awarded as a prestigious prize after the school was voted second most disciplined secondary school in Lusaka Province under the competitive β€˜Back to School (B2S)’ campaign, a nationwide initiative that rewards schools demonstrating exceptional levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary for Educational Services, Dr Kelvin Mambwe, applauded the army-aided school’s management for maintaining exemplary hygiene practices.

Dr Mambwe, represented by Director of Secondary Education Ms Yvonne Chuulu, said the award reflects Arakan Boys’ unwavering commitment to instilling a strong culture of hygiene among learners.

β€œMaintaining consistent hygiene practices is no small feat, as learners come from diverse backgrounds. Yet your dedication proves how seriously the school has embraced this initiative,” she said.

Ms Chuulu said a clean, dignified environment and a dedicated workforce remain paramount if schools are to produce excellent results even as government continues to provide free education, a policy that continues to absorb a lot of learners.

And Arakan Boys Secondary Headteacher, Lieutenant Colonel Chitalu Kanse expressed profound gratitude to Gatbro International, describing the donation as a meaningful investment in the dignity, and well-being of learners.

β€œThe materials provided will form the vital foundation for the initial phase of the β€œPave Arakan Boys Secondary School” campaign.

We are deeply moved by the company’s generosity. This contribution will significantly accelerate...

Did you know that when military personnel of the same rank meet, there is always one who is senior?

They always sit strategically, with the senior most in front.

Like here, these three Colonels from the Zambia Air Force sat in order of their seniority.

There is order, seniority and hierarchy in the military.
