Ambassador of Sweden to Zambia

Three and a half hours from Serenje we reached Mutinondo Wilderness! What an amazing place. We climbed Charlie’s Rock and had an extraordinary view of the entire Miombo woodlands. Tomorrow we’re gonna explore this place some more!

Finally! The Northern Circuit has been on our bucket list for almost two years, and today it is actually happening!

We set out around six from Lusaka this morning and many, many trucks later we reached Serenje! Beautiful surroundings here and lovely sunset. 🌅 ❤️

So watch out for 17CD 2Z the next two weeks up north!

Great to visit FQM Trident in Kalumbila today - the first stop on our joint EU Ambassadors’ trip to NW Province and Copperbelt!

FQM’s Sentinel and Enterprise mines are really impressive, and so is actually the work by FQM. Our small contribution to sustainability today was planting of trees 🌳

Tomorrow we’re meeting with CSO’s and visiting EU 🇪🇺 projects and European companies.

Pop-up Embassy Tour! ❤️💪🏽🇸🇪🇿🇲

We have been on the road since Monday morning, coming through Kitwe, Ndola and Kabwe.

Playing football, discussing mining, democracy and gender equality, doing media and courtesy visits, doing field visits to rural communities with some of our partner organisations, meeting big and small companies, and interacting with a lot of Zambians from all walks of life.

What a great road trip this was. Thanks so, so much to all that we met and interacted with. You made this trip possible! Sweden and Zambia kuchalo! 🇸🇪❤️🇿🇲

There are so many relationships and connections to Sweden on the Copperbelt. Fascinating and encouraging!
