stands strongly in favour democracy, human rights, and equality.

Participation in political and public life is part of respect for non-discrimination. The EU will keep advocating to leave no one behind. This also means combating discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Achieving equality for all is vital for resilient, pluralistic, and cohesive societies, and we thank those who help protecting the persons at risk.

Upholding human rights for all means also fighting against all forms of discrimination and violence - online or offline - including targeting LGBTI persons for who they are or whom they love.
