On Friday Ambassador Jiří Kyrian met representatives of Chisamba to discuss potential for enhancing 🇨🇿 and 🇿🇲 cooperation. Thank you for a fruitful debate 👍

🇨🇿🤝🇿🇲 Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic organized a seminar on business opportunities in Eastern and Southern Africa, including Zambia, which attracted strong interest from Czech companies across the regions of Czechia.

Representing Zambia, we presented key sectors with potential for Czech companies in Zambia: agriculture, energy, critical raw materials, water & environment, and healthcare. 🌱⚡⛏️💧🏥

We look forward to supporting Czech companies in deepening economic and investment ties with the Zambian market. 📊

🇨🇿🇿🇲 Today, we bid farewell to two extraordinary Czechs who have contributed to Zambia’s development in different but equally meaningful ways.

Over the past three months, Filip Cimburek supported the work of the Czech Embassy in Lusaka as an intern, bringing energy, professionalism and commitment to our daily agenda.

At the same time, Zdeněk Stejskal completed his one-year assignment as a UN Volunteer with UNHCR Zambia, contributing to important work in support of refugees and forcibly displaced people.

We are proud to see Czech citizens engaging in diplomacy, development cooperation and humanitarian work abroad — strengthening the good name of Czechia and supporting the partnership between Czechia and Zambia.

🏛️ Happy International Museum Day!

Today, we celebrate museums as spaces of knowledge, culture, education and dialogue.

The Czech Embassy in Lusaka is proud to highlight the close cooperation between The Livingstone Museum and Národní muzeum — a partnership that goes far beyond the formal signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2024.

It builds on a rich history of Czech-Zambian links in culture, science and exploration, from the legendary traveller and explorer Emil Holub and visionary museum founder, philanthropist and promoter of knowledge exchange Vojta Náprstek, to Prof. Ladislav Holý, Czech anthropologist and former Director of the Livingstone Museum.

Today, this partnership brings together Czech and Zambian expertise through knowledge exchange, public lectures, exhibitions and cooperation in research.
