Prof. Aaron Zimba is an eminent computer scientist, academic leader, and a vanguard of digital transformation in Zambia and beyond. He currently serves as the Dean of the School of Computing, Technology, and Applied Sciences at ZCAS University, where he leads advanced postgraduate and doctoral (Ph.D.) research in emerging technologies.

Prof. Zimba is a globally recognized authority whose expertise lies at the critical intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain Technologies, and Advanced Cybersecurity Frameworks. As a Fellow of the ICT Association of Zambia (FICTAZ) and an active peer reviewer for international, high-impact Science Citation Index (SCI) and IEEE journals, his work translates complex digital architecture into robust, secure institutional strategies.

The ZIPS Council, Management, staff and the general membership are deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Mr. Niza Mukosa, who served diligently as Procurement Assistant at REA and an Afilliate member of the Institute.

The Institute stands in solidarity with the Mukosa family, REA Management, as well as his friends and colleagues during this difficult time. More information regarding the funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
