THE University Teaching Hospital (UTH) says former Chipolopolo skipper Rainford Kalaba is still critical but in a stable condition.

UTH public relations officer Nzeba Chanda said doctors are still working round the clock to improve the condition of the footballer who was yesterday involved in an accident that claimed one life.

"Mr Rainfold Kalaba is still admitted at the University Teaching Hospital-Adult. The current situation is critical, but stable as compared to yesterday. The doctors are still working round the clock to improve his condition," she said.

The former skipper was yesterday involved in a car accident in Kafue area, which left a female driver behind the wheel dead.

Steven Chisanga Died while in police custody - Family laments

On behalf of my family I confirm the passing on my brother Steven Chisanga age 54 years of lilanda tandani area not George compound died after he was allegedly arrested and detained on behalf of his son who was was involved in a fight with their neighbor.

Steven Chisanga was arrested on March 23,2024 after his son was reported to the police for alleged assault.

During the time of the deceaseds detention the complainant was demanding for K8,000 and denied to have access to his medication for BP for the alleged son's assault crime in exchange for his freedom until he died at Matero Police Station in Lusaka on April 8,2024.

Postmortem was conducted and the results came out and are here in attached below and his heart was weigh-in 1kg that UTH has never recorded that while conducting postmortem.
