ZABS Pays Courtesy Call on NAPSA, Explores Areas of Collaboration

The Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) paid a courtesy call on the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA), reaffirming the importance of collaboration between public institutions in advancing effective service delivery and institutional development.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the two institutions to share insights into their respective mandates and explore areas where they can work together to strengthen organisational efficiency, knowledge sharing and stakeholder engagement.

As institutions with distinct but complementary roles in national development, the engagement highlighted opportunities for collaboration in areas such as capacity building, knowledge and information sharing, staff development, stakeholder engagement and the exchange of best practices.

The discussions also provided an opportunity for both institutions to identify areas where their expertise and resources could complement each other, while fostering stronger institutional relationships.

The courtesy call marks a step towards deepening the relationship between NAPSA and ZABS, with both institutions recognising the value of working together to achieve shared objectives and contribute to Zambia's development.

NAPSA Shines at 12th ZUFIAW Annual Sports Festival

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) joined financial institutions and allied organisations at the 12th Zambia Union of Financial Institutions and Allied Workers (ZUFIAW) Annual Sports Festival, which took place from 12th to 13th September 2026 at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in Lusaka.

Held under the theme “Solidarity Through Sport: Advancing Health, Collaboration and Continuity of Our Shared Future,” the festival brought together employees from across the sector for two days of sport, teamwork and healthy competition.
NAPSA employees put up an impressive performance across several sporting disciplines.

The Authority emerged 1st in women’s netball and also secured 1st place in the women’s 200m and 400m relay.

The strong performance continued with 2nd-place finishes in the women’s 100m, men’s volleyball and men’s football, while NAPSA also claimed 3rd place in women’s tug of war, egg race and sack race.

Officiating at the event, Ministry of Labour and Social Security Labour Commissioner Mr Givens Muntengwa highlighted the importance of workplaces where employees are healthy, motivated and socially connected. He encouraged employers and employees to view workplace wellness as an investment in human capital and productivity.

ZUFIAW President Ms Marina Mwape Kabongo described sport as a great equaliser, providing an opportunity for workers from different institutions to put aside organisational boundaries and connect as one.

ZUFIAW General Secretary and CEO Mr Kasapo Sundrea Kabende noted that the annual festival has grown beyond competition to become a celebration of friendship, diversity and unity among workers.

The festival provided an opportunity for employees to showcase their sporting spirit while strengthening relationships with fellow institutions and promoting good health, wellbeing, collaboration and team spirit.
