I proudly joined thousands of fellow Zambians and members of the party in witnessing the launch of the Mighty UPND Manifesto by President Hakainde Hichilema.

What stood out for me was the clear vision for economic growth, job creation, improved healthcare, education, agriculture and infrastructure development.

The manifesto demonstrates that development is a continuous process that requires consistency, stability, and focused leadership.

As citizens, we must take time to read and understand the manifesto for ourselves rather than rely on speculation or misinformation.

The future of our country should be shaped by facts, policies and proven progress.

The launch of the Mighty UPND Manifesto has provided Zambians with an opportunity to examine a vision for the country's next chapter.

For me supporting President Hakainde Hichilema is about supporting continuity, stability, development and the promise of a better Zambia for present and future generations.

The best way to predict Zambia's future is to continue building on the progress already underway.

Today Zambia celebrates not only your life but also the remarkable progress our country has made under your leadership.

Your administration has championed free education, increased employment opportunities, expanded social support programmes, restored economic stability and strengthened Zambia's standing on the global stage.

Your servant leadership, humility, resilience, and commitment to the people continue to inspire many of us. Your journey is a testament to perseverance, faith, and dedication to national service. It is a story that motivates countless young people to believe in their dreams and aspire to serve their communities and country.

This morning, I accompanied my brother, Councilor Bright Mafuta, as he successfully filed his nomination papers as the UPND candidate for Lilayi Ward 4.

I hold great respect for my brother, whom I have grown very fond of over time. I admire his boldness, courage, and forthrightness. I have no doubt in my mind that our party is in safe hands with leaders of his caliber.

If we had more bold men and women within our leadership structure in Chawama, our constituency would be in a far better place.

I was also deeply humbled by the overwhelming welcome and love shown to me and my team. Moments like these continue to fuel my motivation, zeal and unwavering love for the people of Chawama Constituency, as well as my support for our Republican President, His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema.

FELLOW MEMBERS AND RESIDENTS OF CHAWAMA

I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the United Party for National Development (UPND), our Republican President, and the National Management Committee for the confidence they have shown in me throughout my aspiration to serve as Member of Parliament for Chawama Constituency.

While I had offered myself to represent our people, I fully respect the party’s decision to adopt Eng. Able Ng’andu as our candidate for Chawama. As a loyal member of the party, I remain committed to upholding its values, unity and strategic direction.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the people who believed in me, supported me and stood with me during the years of mobilisation and engagement.
Together, we worked tirelessly to revive our party structures and strengthen our presence in Chawama. Your support has not gone unnoticed, and I remain deeply grateful.

I now appeal to all our members and supporters to remain calm, united and respectful of the party’s decision. Our collective goal is bigger than any individual aspiration. Let us continue to rally behind all our adopted candidates.

As we move forward, I take President Hakainde Hichilema’s target of securing 5 million votes target very seriously. This calls for renewed energy, discipline, and unwavering commitment from all of us. We must not relent in our efforts.

I also wish to congratulate Eng. Able Ng’andu on his adoption as the duly selected candidate for Chawama Constituency. I wish him success and assure him of my support within my means, as we work together to deliver victory for our party.
