Zambia was proudly represented at the Cannes Film Festival and Marché du Film 2026 by a delegation from the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts led by Permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe. 🇿🇲🎬

Over the past few days, the delegation engaged with filmmakers, film commissioners, distributors, investors, studios, creatives, and strategic partners from across the world as Zambia continues positioning itself as an emerging film destination and creative economy hub.

The Permanent Secretary’s message during the Africa Creative Market (ACM), Creative Industry Business Summit Zambia (CIBSZ), and African Philanthropy Forum Cocktail at Cannes reflects the Ministry’s commitment to collaboration, investment, talent development, infrastructure growth, and building long-term partnerships for Zambia’s creative industries.

As government, we remain committed to creating opportunities for creatives and making Zambia increasingly film-destination ready.

We thank His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema for his continued support towards transforming Zambia’s creative and cultural industries and advancing strategic global partnerships.

Next stop: Zambia. 🇿🇲
